  • The most important literacies are still analogue! I am persuaded by Kevin Kelly that virtually no technologies ever truly die. We just have more to choose from, and that's not a bad thing. Personally I nearly always prefer to read text on a tablet, phone or e-reader rather than paper, but there are many things that paper continues to excel at, especially when reading large-format books, those with many illustrations or tables, and those that I want to read in the rain or the bath. I suspect this too will change. At least the smell of a library or second-hand bookshop can't be equalled. Or maybe it can.

  • Hi Miranda Ball,

Lovely to meet you! I'm Natascha Venter from South Africa currently living in Chile and studying online through Curtin University & OUA. I'm enrolled in my first two open units for the Bachelor of Education (Primary) through Curtin University. Once I've completed these two units I'll enroll in my next two open unit and hopefully after successful completion of all four, I can directly enter and continue with the Bachelor of Education (Primary) degree.

Where are you from and have you travelled alot? Race speedway - my word do you have guts :)

    Cheers!
